Imagine our surprise when we walked into Kez Hughes’ current Westspace show, Best Of… only to see our feathered friend from Pia Murphy’s May show at Chapter House Lane, in 2D.

The replica can be compared to the original here, and is a perfect example of Hughes’ clever visual history of recent works and shows by Australian artists. Termed ‘part parody, part documentary’ it’s a potted collection of stills and installs that collates months of viewing in the one room. It’s perfect for those accustomed to twitter feeds, and a whole heap of fun (which pays off particularly well for those who’ve done the leg-work, and know the pieces being reproduced).
