Chapter House Lane welcomed their new neighbour, Little King cafe, in May. After a day of bench-making in preparation for Pia Murphy’s ceramics install, we were invited by general manager, Ellie King, to try the curtain-raising coffee. We knew immediately the following would be forthcoming as she and barista, Jess, brought their homely warmth and vivacity to the local coffee-drinking community.

Tomorrow, they add a new range of stimulants to their small space with the launch of the Perimiter Books Micro-Library, featuring a selection of independently published titles, which chronicle creative projects by artists, photographers and designers. In a nod to the vibrant creativity permeating Melbourne, Little King with help from Perimeter, will aid promotion of active artists and probably inspire a few new ones along the way.
