PWC-4

If you’ve been past Chapter House Lane in the past few weeks, you will have noticed the hoarding, scaffolding, security cameras and construction surrounding our window space. The building we occupy has concrete cancer and while the repairs take place, we will be temporarily postponing our exhibition program.

Concrete cancer occurs when the steel reinforcing a concrete slab begins to rust. As the steel rusts, it expands and causes problems to the integrity of the concrete, deeming our space and laneway unsafe as a result.

We have been informed by our landlords, Careers Australia, that the renovations around the gallery will takes up to 9 months to complete. During this time, we’ve put a pause on all activity at Chapter House Lane and we’ll resume our exhibition program as soon as we can. In the interim, please stay in touch with us via Facebook. See you soon!
