On an evening that threatened rain, but remained dry and cool, Chapter House Lane celebrated its launch with the Justin Lee Williams exhibition opening. Friends, family and supporters of the artist and Chapter House Lane, came together for a night of wine, hors d’oeuvres and DJ Rhys Addinsall’s smooth funk tunes to toast a new Melbourne gallery and an epic turn-around for the laneway space.

As the sun went down, Justin Lee Williams’ watercolour portraits became brighter still, with the gallery lights picking up as yet unseen colour in the deceptively intricate work.
