In the fourth installment of around the grounds, we find a number of artists from Chapter House Lane's past program exhibiting new work in Melbourne and Sydney.

Naomi Eller, who exhibited her ceramics with us in 2014, presents a new body of work at Heide Museum of Modern Art from June onwards. ‘If not bones, then stones’ will see a shift away from her figurative practice to pieces that are more enigmatic and organic.

Emily Ferretti’s new solo exhibition ‘Parks’ opened last week at Sophie Gannon, revealing a series of coolly evocative still-life paintings and drawings. Photographic artist Benjamin Lichtenstein, who showed with us in 2014 and 2013, is just wrapping up a solo exhibition at Fort Delta.

There is a new exhibition at Bus Projects by Jonas Ropponen, who presented ‘Pubism’ in January. Entitled ‘Obedient Things and Whatnot’, the show extends upon his previous work in the realms of the grotesque and discarded objects.

Kez Hughes, Oscar Perry, Grant Nimmo and many more are currently part of the fabulous annual Westspace Fundraiser, supporting the work of one of Australia’s oldest and most respected artist-led initiatives.

Across the border in Sydney recent exhibitor Tarik Ahlip is featured in the group show ‘Biggie Smalls’, on until 5 July at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
